Where's The Music?

More and more nowadays, ive grown to be disapointed with my generations perception of whats music and whats bullshit. Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, all of these artists are killing what i've grown to love, hip-hop. Rakim, Oukast, Common, etc.. that is hip hop. Except my few friends that actually agree with me, everyone is pretty much on the bandwagon of mainstream (C)Rap music, that the cooporate world plays in order to make their own money. Once you leave the underground, all your orignality and creativity seems to be taken away to an extent. Take Common and Murs' new albums, neither of them sound like something they would've done in the past. Murs left Def Jux for Warner Brothers and POOF! There goes classic Murs material! But dont get me wrong his shit is still ill as fuck. And this new generation of mixtape rap is kinda bringing back the roots and making a feel good type hype for heads like me. I honestly think that their will be mixtapes released this year that rival the actual albums. Drake's So Far Gone? Im already gonna call this the "tape of the year". Never again will hip hop be the same back when Kool Herc, The Tribe, and others ruled the radio.. we can only make due with what we have now, and hope it improves in the future. That was my two cents, feel free to argue with me..
